CopyCat Carrabba’s Italian Grill Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients

1/4 quart Heavy Cream or Half and Half
1/2 stick Butter
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
Freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder to taste
1 teaspoon Montreal Chicken Seasoning to taste
1/2 jar (12 ounces) Barilla Tomato and Basil Spaghetti Sauce or other Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce, store bought or homemade, of choice
Salt to taste

Directions

Place cream and butter into a medium sauce pan. Place pan over medium high heat and bring to a boil.

Add Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, garlic powder and Montreal chicken seasoning. Stir to mix well and melt cheese.

Reduced heat to medium-low. Simmer, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes.

Add more pepper, garlic powder and/or Montreal chicken seasoning, if needed, to taste. Stir to mix.

Continue to simmer sauce on low heat for about 15 minutes.

Pour tomato and basil sauce into pot. Stir to mix. Simmer for another 15 minutes.

Taste. Add salt and/or other seasonings, to taste, if needed.

Serve hot over pasta, as a dipping sauce for appetizers or with Carrabba’s Italian Grill Stuffed Mushrooms Parmigiana.
