CopyCat Olive Garden Parmesan Crusted Tilapia

Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup breadcrumbs, preferably panko
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 lemon, Zest of 1 lemon
1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Directions

Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.

In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and lemon zest.

In another shallow dish, whisk the egg until well-beaten.

Dip each tilapia fillet into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to coat evenly.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
