CopyCat Red Robin Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp rice vinegar
½ cup water
1 tbsp cornstarch, + 2 tbsp water, for the cornstarch slurry
1 tsp sesame oil

Directions

Start by adding ½ cup soy sauce, ¼ cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp honey, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tsp fresh ginger 2 tbsp rice vinegar and ½ cup water to a small saucepan. Whisk everything together over medium heat until the sugar fully dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.

Once it starts gently bubbling, stir in a 1 tbsp cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Keep stirring for 2–3 minutes until it turns glossy, smooth, and coats the back of a spoon.

Remove from heat and finish with 1 tsp sesame oil for that signature restaurant-style flavor. Let it cool slightly before using as a glaze, marinade, or dipping sauce.
