CopyCat The Cheesecake Factory Miso Salmon

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets, about 6 ounces each
1/4 cup white miso paste
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
2 tablespoons green onions, sliced – optional (for garnish)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds , for garnish, optional

Directions

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine white miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened (about 2–3 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour half of the miso glaze over the salmon and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Remove salmon from marinade and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes or broil for 6–8 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and slightly caramelized on top.

Drizzle remaining miso glaze over the cooked salmon. Serve over white rice and garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
