CopyCat Zaxby’s Nashville Hot Seasoning Rub

Ingredients

2 tbsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp Light or Dark Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Directions

Mix all ingredients together.

Store in a sealed container in a cool dry place.

Dry Rub Method: Massage 1-2 tablespoons directly onto freshly fried chicken tenders for a dry finish.

Hot Oil Method: Mix 2-3 tablespoons of the seasoning into 1/4 cup of hot, used frying oil (or melted lard) and brush this paste onto the chicken.
