Ingredients
1/2 cup mayonnaise Full-fat tastes best
1/4 cup ketchup Regular ketchup
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar White vinegar works too
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Adds depth and tang
1 tsp garlic powder Not garlic salt
1/2 tsp onion powder Adds savory flavor
1 tsp paprika Regular paprika is best here
1 tbsp brown sugar Helps balance the tang
1/2 tsp black pepper Add more if you like
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper Optional mild heat
1 tsp hot sauce Optional for extra zip
1 pinch salt Add only if needed
Directions
Add the mayonnaise and ketchup to a medium mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
Whisk in the apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce until the mixture looks glossy and fully combined.
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and hot sauce (if using). Whisk again until the sauce is creamy and evenly blended.
Taste the sauce and adjust if needed. If it feels too sharp, add a little more mayo. If you want it sweeter, add a tiny pinch more brown sugar.
Transfer the sauce to an airtight jar, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
