CopyCat Zaxby’s Strawberry Sauce
Ingredients
6 oz fresh strawberries
4 oz sugar
1/2 oz freeze-dried strawberries
For a cooked sauce:
1 lb quartered strawberries
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
cornstarch slurry
Directions
Blend 6 oz fresh strawberries, 4 oz sugar, and 0.5 oz freeze-dried strawberries until smooth.
For a cooked glaze:
Simmer 1 lb quartered strawberries, 1 cup sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, and a cornstarch slurry (2 Tbsp water & 1 tsp water) for 3–5 minutes until thick.
