CopyCat Carrabba’s Italian Grill Bread
Ingredients
1 cup warm water, about 110°F
½ cup warm milk
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast, 1 packet
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon olive oil, for brushing before baking
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup warm water, ½ cup warm milk,1 tablespoon granulated sugar, and 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
In a large mixing bowl, add 3 cups all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon salt then gradually mix in the yeast mixture and softened 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5–7 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the top with 1 tablespoon olive oil and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with olive oil and herbs or butter.
