CopyCat Taco Bell Air Fryer Double Decker Taco
Ingredients
½ pound ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
½ cup water
1 cup refried beans
6 soft flour tortillas, 6-inch
6 crunchy taco shells
1 cup shredded cheddar , or Mexican blend cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, diced (optional)
Sour cream, hot sauce, or salsa (optional, for serving)
Directions
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened. Heat refried beans in the microwave or on the stove top until soft and spreadable.
Spread a thin layer of refried beans on one side of each soft flour tortilla. Press a crunchy taco shell into the beans to stick them together. Spoon the seasoned ground beef into each crunchy taco shell.
Place assembled tacos into the air fryer basket. Set air fryer temperature to 350 degrees F and set cook time for 3-4 minutes to warm everything through and crisp the outer tortilla slightly.
Remove carefully and top with shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato if using, serve with sour cream, salsa, or hot sauce!
